Not Interested in Publicity...

Image
Hello Friends,  After much time I came back with my views. In Masters I was just writing for study and nothing else. But today I have a new thought and new imagination which I am going to share with you. First I would like to ask you a question that "What if a well-known writer denied to hear and to write on your story saying that you want to become famous so you came to me.?!!" Well, I have no need to be popular or I don't want to be. I am happy with my status. My writing will be an answer to that well-known person who has questioned on my status.  I have a story in my mind and it's about  girl. I have this beautiful platform to share that story. So from my next blog I will write about it. Keep reading and if you like don't forget to share your opinion. I would be glad to have your reviews on my new upcoming first story.  Thank you.

Breath

Image
Here is my interpretation regarding "Samuel Beckett by Damien Hirst - "Breath" . To see original web source click here. 1. 'Breath' is not different then breathing. Beacuse of breath, we can live. But if the atmosphere around us will be polluted then we could not breath properly. And our health will also be effected. Its a common conclusion. 2. 'Breath's second interpretation is that, garbage is spreaded everywhere. But it looks that its not showing material garbage, it looks that garbage is over-selves, when we do nothing on this land. Ourself is like a garbage. And there is no value of ourselves, because at last "Mitti ke putle hai.. Mitti me mil jana hai.." 3. Third interpretation is that, the sense of nothingness. A very short "PLAY". Meaningless yet MEANINGFUL. Thank you.

Existentialism: Concept Understanding

Image
On the topic of Existentialism we have a flipped learning task. We have a source of videos that we have to observe and learn about the topic. So after watching these videos I am sharing my views here... [To see original task click here] Video 1: Existentialism is made up with the tri-angle of i) Individuality ii) Passsion & iii) Freedom Video 2: Alburt Camus discusses the meaning of life. Why one cummits suicide? Because they thought that life is not worth living. But he says "An elegant suicide is the ultimate work of art." Video 3: Wherever there is an existence of MAN and THE WORLD there is an existence of ABSURDITY too. If you avoid the absurdity which you found around you, you are killing a philosopher inside you. And this is called PHILOSOPHICAL SUICIDE. Video 4: Dadaism movement arouse in 1916(after WW2) which is a quest of change. Dadaism means to make yourself free from all values. It was not Nihilistic or Existentialistic movement but it w...

Image
The novel is surrounded with urban and modern life only. It shows how city life disturbs man emotionally and mentally. The characters of the novel facing difficulties in achieving their dreams and then compromising with call center job. There are many ways to study the novel. One of it is "Self-Help Book". Self-help book is written to instruct or give advice to its readers. Characteristics of the Self-Help book is as below: -Self-help books often focus on popular psychology such as romantic relationships, or aspects of the mind and human behavior which believers in self-help feel can be controlled with effort. -Self-help books typically advertise themselves as being able to increase self-awareness and performance, including satisfaction with one's life. Many celebrities have marketed self-help books including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oprah Winfrey, Elizabeth Taylor, Charlie Fitzmaurice, Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and Cher. Here in this novel we...

Post Truth Concept

Image
As I understand Post-truth I am giving my view.. Truth is a fact. Whereas Post-truth is a truth which is not really fact but just took its place in people's mind. If we hear or see lie we started believing in it. In class we have discussed that Grammar Rules are made like this.. if 9 person out of 10 are wrong and one is right then rule will be made according to the answer of those 9. Not like that one. Mostly politicians took benefit of this idea. I want to give another example of movie PK . In this movie Jaggu was giving a t.v report on how a dog has tried to do suicide. We all know that this is definitely lie. But media's "garam masala" and the way of presenting make us believe in that lie. So this is a Post-Truth. Which has no direct connection to the real fact but the imaginative truth that is "created", not the "fact".

School in Jungle

Image
This image is a direct satire on current education system. We have same education system for all type of students and we have expectation that all should come first or atleast in first five. How is it possible? All have different capacity and expertization in their own skills. Their capacity and skills should be judge accordingly. Same evaluation can not give right result. For fair selection it is necessary to create the system which gives justice to all.

'The White Tiger' Review

Image
The White Tiger is written by Arvind Adiga in 2008. Which is his Booker Prize winner novel. Here is my review regarding this book.  #  The portrayal of India shown in this text is: - Crowdy and areas full with slums - Pollution - Poverty - Corruption in every field is shown in real  # Balram's story is an archetype of 'rags and riches' . The story has the same story of a poor boy who suddenly becomes rich.  # Derrida's idea of deconstruction can be applied here too.. - Balram has killed his master and became rich. Here he could have done hard work to become rich or he could have stolen the money only. - He had done crime and then also he said he is not guilty. - Even he don't care for his family. In India servants are found most faithful person in family. But here Balram betrayed his master. He believes that he is better than Ashok his master, but actually he just giving false satisfaction to himself. Thank You.

Magic Land or Real World?

Image
As a part of our study we have completed the Harry Potter's one part "Deathly Hallows" and the task is given by the teacher is here... (to see the main task click here)   The theme of choosing your destiny rather than being born into it extend throughout the book, right down from Harry Potter’s name. Choices means making life our OWN. The author also has described "choices" as a recurrent theme in the books. Harry claimed to Malfoy that he was able to decide who was the right sort on his own. Harry didn't choose to be made an orphan; that was inflicted upon him. He didn't choose to live with his "bigoted" and abusive aunt and uncle; or, for that matter, even to have wizard abilities. In fact, the "driving force" behind his early life's agenda was set for him by the choices of others. He was often punished for, "being." The author seems to be letting him discover t...

Are we have a sense of Ending?

Image
Booker Prize winner novel by Julian Barnes is a part of our syllabus and after completing the discussion in class, here is given a task by our professor Dr. Dilip Barad.  Regarding this novel I would like to express my view about these four points:  1. Title 2. Prose Style 3. Narrator 4. Over all Theme 1.Title of the Novel: The writer has carefully chosen the title of the novel from the book of Frank Kermode. In the novel there are " 3 Endings": A. Tony's life is ending because of his old age.  B. Changing the understanding and thinking about self, self-revealation happens.  C. Two lives ending by suicide: Robson and Adrian.  So by this way the title is appropriate to the novel.  2.Prose Style:  Writer has used post-modern writing technique. He has used "diary" as an object to tell his story. History is in the middle of the over all theme. Writer has used a retired man to Narrate the story. And the story...

Da Vinci Code; The Side Face

Image
As we have given a movie viewing task of the novel 'The Da Vinci Code' here is my response to some of the questions asked in post-viewing task. To see the original task blog click here .   1. (If)You have studied ‘Genesis’ (The Bible), ‘The Paradise Lost’ (John Milton) and ‘The Da Vinci Code’ (Dan Brown). Which of the narrative/s seem/s to be truthful? Whose narrative is convincing to the contemporary young mind? In The Holy Bible there is The First Book of Moses, called Genesis. Here we came to know how God has created the whole Earth, Heaven and the Mankind. {1:1} In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. he name of the first {2:7} And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of; and man become a living soul. Paradise Lost by John Milton, the poem concerns the Biblical story of the Fall of Man: the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion f...

Romanticism vs. Classicism

Image
Romanticism : "A movement in the arts and literature which originated in the late 18th century, emphasizing inspiration, subjectivity, and the primacy of the individual." Classicism : "It is following ancient Greek or Roman principles and style in art and literature, generally associated with harmony, restraint, and adherence to recognized standards of form and craftsmanship, especially from the Renaissance to the 18th century." The difference between both: A. Romanticism and B. Classicism.... A. It is about feeling, instict and pleasure. B. Its about formality and mannerism. A. Democratic themes B. Elevated subject A. Ordinary language of people B. Highly crafted poetical language A. Realistic characters, situations and strong narrative element B. Composed in a formal style In short: Romanticism vs. Classicism 1. Imagism vs. Intellect 2. Liberty vs. Restrain 3. Follow Inspiration vs. Follow Masters 4. Rustic Life vs. Urban Life 5. O...

Tradition & Individual Talent

Image
Tradition con not be inherited. One can get it with great labor. According to me a writer or even a critic must have Historical sense. As Eliot says that  "The historical sense involves a perception, not only of the pastness of the past, but of its presence" If a writer or critic has a Historical sense than he could be more clear in his work. Because this sense involves both sense: The sense of Past and The sense of Present. When a writer starts writing in the beginning of his career he follows his predecessors. So we can say that, that is Tradition, that he follows. But after sometime when he develops his skill and reads more and more than his Individual Talent reflects in his writing.  Eliot says that Individual Talent is that in which l esser effect of Tradition(Predecessors) could be seen.  So Tradition and Individual Talent has connection. If one has read his time's tradition than only his own Individual Talent will come out.  ...

Poetry and Poem

Image
To differentiate poetry and poem we should first understand what is the difference between prose and poetry.. The difference between prose and poem: '' Poem is a work which is made up of highly rhythmic and lyrical words." It is used to express the imagination of a poet in an extraordinary form. When poet/poetess writes poem, his or her feeling is not like a common person. They think different, they can see different and express their observation and views differently. That makes poem.  i.e.,  Simple sentence:  The sun and moon looks like they are revolving around the earth. Poem :  The sun and moon revolving around the Earth;               As if they suggest the circle of death and Birth. (Self made) The difference between  Poem and Poetry: - Poem is a form in which both forms are concluded: speech and song . - They are mostly singable. They cover vast styles, genre and other elements....

Wordsworth's Poetic Diction

Image
Poetic diction is a selection of language. Wordsworth has suggested about poetic diction that; A. Language of poetry should be the language of a common man. B. It should have a certain colouring of imagination. C. The words of conversation would provide the rough framework of the language of poetry.  According to Wordsworth, 'the poetry is the breath and finer spirit of all knowledge, the impassioned expression that is in the countenance of all science.'  He also says that poetry 'is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings.' Which being possesed by a man who, of more than usual organic sensibility, had also thought long and deeply.  'Daffodils' is a best example of Wordsworth's simple poetry style.  I wandered lonely as a cloud  That floats on high o'er vales and hills,  When all at once I saw a crowd,  A host, of golden daffodils;  Beside the lake, beneath the trees,  Fluttering and...

Comparision of Hamlet novel by Shakespeare and movie by Kenneth Branagh

Image
The difference between original play ‘Hamlet’ by Shakespeare and movie by Kenneth Branagh is as below: a) Some dialogues of the play are very long and hard, those are removed or shortened in the movie. i.e., Dialogues of Ophelia are shortened in the movie to show her madness effectively. b) Kenneth Branagh has added some scenes those are not in the original play. We can understand the reason behind it that it’s necessary to maintain the interest of the audience. i.e., 1. The beginning and the end of the movie with the statue of Old king Hamlet.        2. Horatio was reading a newspaper. c) The costumes which are used in the movie is not of the time in which the play was written. i.e., Branagh uses costumes to suggest 19th century but the play is written in 17th century. My perception about the play, characters and situations: ·         Play is an extra-ordinary wo...

Why poetry, literature or art is objected?

Image
Plato's objection to poetry.. Plato has main three objection to poetry: Poetry is not ethical, philosophical and pragmatic .  In other words.. - he objected poetry with the point of view of education - he objected poetry with the point of view of philosophical - he objected poetry with the point of view of moral Why Plato objected with these three point of views? Plato objected that.. - poetry is not ethical because it promotes undesirable passion - poetry is not philosophical because it does not provide true knowledge and - poetry is not pragmatic because it is inferior to the practical art and therefore has no educational value. Plato's objection to Literature.. Plato says that if we want to cultivate our future generations with good habits and no quarreling that we have to remove all mythical stories which are in our great epics. According to him at one side we say that "quarrelling is unholy" and at another side we give exam...

My views about "Essay on Dramatic Poessy" by Dryden

Image
What is Tragedy? Let's see two great writer's definition of tragedy.   Aristotle’s Definition of Tragedy   “Tragedy, then, is an imitation of an action that is serious, complete, and of a certain magnitude; in the language embellished with each kind of artistic ornament, the several kinds being found in separate parts of the play; in the form of action, not of narrative; through pity and fear effecting the proper purgation, catharsis of these and similar emotions.” (Poetics, P.10)            Dryden’s Definition of Play   “A play ought to be a just and lively image of human nature, representing its passions and humors, and the changes of fortune to which it is subject, for the delight and instruction of mankind.”   ·        Aristotle says that Tragedy is an imitation of an action while Dryden says that Play is a lively image of human nature. ·...

Doctor practices Magic..

Image
When a professional like Doctor changes it's way of Doctory and nourishes his Dream to become a powerful person then he meets his tragical end, this story is described in this book by Marlowe.  Doctor Faustus, a well-respected German scholar, grows dissatisfied with the limits of traditional forms of knowledge—logic, medicine, law, and religion—and decides that he wants to learn to practice magic. His friends Valdes and Cornelius instruct him in the black arts, and he begins his new career as a magician by summoning up Mephastophilis, a devil.  Despite Mephastophilis’s warnings about the horrors of hell, Faustus tells the devil to return to his master, Lucifer, with an offer of Faustus’s soul in exchange for twenty-four years of service from Mephastophilis. Meanwhile, Wagner, Faustus’s servant, has picked up some magical ability and uses it to press a clown named Robin into his service. Mephastophilis returns to Faustus with word that Lucifer has accepted Fa...

What a positive thinking!!!

Image
Have you observed this picture? What a positive thinking..!! Awesome. !! If your husband looks at other beautiful females that doesn't mean he still observing best in you but it means that he is comparing you with others and interested in others.  If your husband finds faults in your cooking that doesn't mean that he is improving his taste but it means he is no more interested in ur served food.  If your husband snores at night that means he don't care whether you are sleeping well or not.  If your husband forget to give you gift on birthday that means now after marriage he don't want to waste his money behind "faltu" things like birthday gifts.  Because you don't have choice and killing is a legal offence, you can not endure his misbehaves.  Why don't we have choice? - Because we are not enough strong and confident to ourselves.  - Because we hear from our elders that "husband is like 'Parmeshwar' for a ...
